The Vision of Peace President and Problematic Challenges Facing us

Our Vision

The Vision of Peace President is to inspire and support the awakening of Human Consciousness by inviting ourselves, as Citizens of the United States, to become an undivided, trustworthy, and peacefully collaborative nation, and a world leader in inner transformation, conscious and uncorrupted government, and loving coexistence.

We also endeavor to inspire the ongoing creation and manifestation of a Unified Global Collective by consciously participating in our own evolution, living by example, and supporting the mutual efforts of the United Nations (UN) and other organizations devoted to peaceful cooperation and global unity.

Asking the Right Questions

We appear to be waking up to just how amazingly productive, or destructive, the human species can be. We really can do just about anything when we put our minds together, can’t we? Consider just a few examples: our accomplishments in technology, surgery, transportation, and even global cooperation through the United Nations (UN) reveal something remarkable about our natural human potential.

But are we making wise decisions that are universally inclusive and supportive of our overall well-being? Or are we continuing to relive unconscious choices, programming, and patterns that divide us and no longer serve the greater good?

There is Good News!

There is good news! There appears to be a choice in the direction in which we navigate life. We can put our minds together to unconsciously create more nuclear bombs and deepen governmental and social divisions, or consciously create more sustainable, common-sense practices that support our overall well-being and unity. Indeed, both individually and collectively, we possess the capacity to choose between destruction and loving productivity, between exclusion, greed, division, and suffering, or a path of inclusivity, compassion, and life-affirming cooperation.

There is no question that waking up here on Earth as a timeless aspect of the universe is a gift we can either embrace or take for granted. Are we taking our gift of choosing for granted as well?

What are You Choosing?

We can consciously choose to reorient our attention toward processes that are more uplifting and beneficial to everyone and our Earth home, or continue living reactively while wondering why our addictive habits, false identities, and unconscious patterns keep contributing to violence, division, and the degradation of the natural resources upon which life depends. On a political level, we can also see how strongly identifying ourselves as Republicans or Democrats can reinforce an ongoing partisan divide, particularly when political identity becomes more important than listening, understanding, cooperation, and our shared humanity.

And this division can become dangerous. When Republicans and Democrats become so entrenched in opposing identities and positions that compassionate understanding, meaningful compromise, and inclusive agreement become nearly impossible, government can become gridlocked precisely when wise and timely action is needed. Challenges such as climate change, soil degradation, economic inequality, and other matters affecting our shared future do not pause while we remain divided.

They do not belong to one political party. They belong to all of us.

We really do appear to be temporarily lost in some ways, don’t we? We have created a world in which violence is commonplace, political division is deeply entrenched, addiction and emotional suffering affect countless lives, and our relationship with the natural world continues to challenge the sustainability of life on our Home Planet Earth. These are only a few examples.

The question is not whether humanity possesses extraordinary capabilities. Clearly, we do. The question is: What are we choosing to do with them?

We CAN Transcend Our limitations!

I must admit, these are painful topics for me, and for us. So let us be clear: the amazing capacities and potential of Human Consciousness are absolutely capable of transcending the limitations that no longer serve us.

Let us make the best of Human Consciousness a living reality!

An important and highly relevant question is this: Are we finally open and willing to take responsibility in ways we may not yet fully recognize? In my view, we are ready, AND we know it! However, we still seem to have difficulty navigating the confusion, obsessions, compulsions, denial, and misidentifications that can get in the way of realizing our most conscious potential.

Embracing Self Honesty

If we were genuinely living happily and peacefully, would we be experiencing so much turmoil, both personally and collectively? Would we, as a nation, continue devoting hundreds of billions of dollars each year to military defense and weapons while knowing in our hearts that there must be more peaceful, joyous, honest, and inclusive ways to live together? These are not questions intended to dismiss legitimate concerns about national security, but to invite us to honestly examine our priorities and ask what kind of world we ultimately wish to create.

Although much of humanity, including our governments and institutions, still appears caught in unconscious patterns of self-preservation and reactive habits of instant gratification, these are limitations we can begin recognizing and transcending within ourselves. In the sections ahead, I am going to share some of the challenges and unconscious patterns we have collectively allowed to influence divisive governmental practices that may no longer serve the well-being of our nation or world. Yet before we do that, you know what? Let us first remember some of the most amazing qualities of us. Then we can look more honestly at the self-defeating habits we may be overlooking with such great regularity.

Life Affirming Aspects and Amazing Qualities

(1) For more than two centuries, the peaceful transfer of presidential power has become one of the enduring traditions of the United States. Even amid profound political disagreement, Americans have repeatedly demonstrated the ability to transfer executive authority without violence, a democratic tradition made especially visible by the events surrounding January 6, 2021. (2) The United States possesses extraordinary resources, infrastructure, agricultural capacity, medical knowledge, sanitation systems, and technological capabilities for meeting basic human needs. Although access is certainly not equal or universal, our collective capacity to provide food, clean water, sanitation, healthcare, and emergency assistance is remarkable. For instance, it is almost impossible to die of starvation in the USA.

(3) The United States has long exercised substantial influence throughout the world. With that influence comes an opportunity to lead by example, inspiring more inclusive, productive, peaceful, and life-affirming ways of living and governing together.

(4) In regenerative agriculture and food production, sustainable energy, scientific research, transportation, communication, medicine, and technology, the United States possesses tremendous knowledge and capability. We have much of the infrastructure and know-how necessary to become an even greater global example of conscious government and responsible stewardship. What remains is our willingness to awaken deeper levels of Inclusive Consciousness and put what we already know into practice.

(5) Americans have repeatedly demonstrated an extraordinary willingness to help people in need, both at home and throughout the world. Through individuals, nonprofit organizations, communities, government programs, disaster relief, and humanitarian assistance, this impulse toward generosity and service has touched millions of lives. Historically, the United States has also been one of the world’s largest providers of humanitarian assistance. [source]

(6) The American story has been profoundly shaped by generations of immigrants and by an evolving aspiration toward freedom and equality. The Declaration of Independence proclaimed that “all men are created equal,” an ideal whose meaning and application have continued to expand throughout our history. Perhaps our evolving understanding can now embrace something even more inclusive: Everyone is already and always equal.

(7) Throughout our history, Americans have repeatedly demonstrated the capacity and desire for meaningful change. That is great news! Yet perhaps some of the transformation most needed now is not only political, technological, or economic, but inward: the transformation necessary to manifest the peaceful, loving, and joyous nation and world for which we are longing.

(8) Perhaps one of the most remarkable qualities of the United States is our protected freedom to question, speak, disagree, peacefully assemble, practice our spiritual or religious beliefs, and openly advocate for change. These freedoms give us something extraordinarily valuable: the opportunity to continually examine ourselves, challenge what is no longer serving us, and consciously participate in the ongoing evolution of our nation.

Where We May Be Getting in Our Own Way

Just as self-honesty invites us to recognize and celebrate what is working, it also asks us to courageously examine what is not. The following are not offered as accusations against a political party, government official, corporation, or group of people, but as an invitation to consider some of the patterns and systems we may be collectively sustaining that no longer serve our highest possibilities.

With that spirit of honest inquiry, have we allowed our governmental and economic systems to become:

(1) A democracy in which many citizens increasingly feel their individual voices have too little influence, while major campaign donors, lobbyists, and special interests are perceived as having far too much influence over governmental decisions?

(2) A governmental system in which partisan identity and political conflict can become more important than cooperation, compassionate understanding, problem-solving, and our shared responsibility to the people we represent? In one major national survey, 86 percent of Americans said Republicans and Democrats were more focused on fighting each other than solving problems.

(3) An economic culture in which wealth, competition, profit, and financial status can carry greater influence than human well-being, while opportunities to prosper and have our basic needs met remain profoundly unequal?

(4) A nation so accustomed to competition, consumption, entertainment, and instant gratification that we can overlook the deeper emotional, social, environmental, and spiritual consequences of living primarily in survival mode?

(5) A political system in which money, major donors, corporations, lobbyists, and special interests can exercise extraordinary influence, while ordinary citizens often feel their own influence is comparatively small?

(6) A system suffering from such deep distrust and frustration that many citizens no longer believe government consistently represents or acts in their interests? Public trust in the federal government has remained historically low for years, revealing a relationship between citizens and government deeply in need of healing.

(7) A culture in which the pursuit of the “American Dream” can become so closely associated with acquiring wealth, status, possessions, and personal success that cooperation, enoughness, service, and our responsibility to one another are easily pushed aside?

(8) A nation devoting hundreds of billions of dollars each year to military defense while continuing to struggle with unmet human needs at home, inviting us to honestly examine how we balance security, peace, human well-being, and the allocation of our collective resources?

(9) A healthcare and economic system containing incentives that can place profitability and treatment of illness alongside, and sometimes in tension with, prevention, accessibility, and the long-term health and well-being of every citizen?

(10) A society possessing extraordinary knowledge, resources, technology, and human potential, yet still struggling to translate those capabilities into wise, inclusive, and life-affirming decisions for everyone and our Home Planet Earth?

Our Mission and Possible Solutions

To restore power to the people, to ourselves, by revealing and reclaiming our natural sacred wisdom and non-egoic power through awakening to and understanding the truth of who we are.

By embracing our natural wisdom, feeling, healing, awakening, and learning to navigate life more peacefully, joyously, and honestly together, we can begin transforming not only ourselves, but the ways we live, lead, govern, and participate as a global collective. The following are several practical aspects of that mission.

Our Mission is:

Inspiring the awakening of Human Consciousness and the emergence of conscious, transparent government free from divisive systems, shaming mindsets, blame, secrecy, force, coercion, violence, and manipulation;

Encouraging and empowering ALL Citizens of Earth to question authority and to freely think and feel for themselves, while embracing and expressing their natural human qualities of generosity, inclusiveness, non-judgment, compassion, and joy;

Infusing into the collective psyche the importance of making regenerative agriculture, ecology, and sustainable, Earth-friendly farming and gardening practices a priority in our educational systems and home lives, as well as through supportive governmental policies;

inspire and enact necessary short term practical change using a top down approach while simultaneously utilizing a bottom up approach through inner transformation that will allow the short term changes to stand the test of time;

Promoting and advocating for the importance of incorporating Sacred Processes into our lives and culture, including practices such as meditation, yoga, nature immersion, self-inquiry, centering prayer, healthy eating, and exercise;

Encouraging inner transformation, openness, willingness, and self-honesty as pathways toward freedom from self-defeating personal and collective habits, and from painful thoughts, feelings, and sensations rooted in guilt, fear, and unworthiness;

Illuminating foundational social systems and governmental practices that may have outlived their usefulness;

Pointing out self-defeating personal, governmental, religious, and cultural myths, assumptions, and practices that may no longer serve us, including those surrounding economics, banking, education, employment, military power, and our definitions of success and prosperity;

Encouraging religious institutions, communities, and individuals to explore and clarify the distinction between religious belief and conscious spirituality rooted in direct experience and inner realization;

Inspiring ALL Citizens of Earth to embrace Sacred Processes that guide our attention inward toward the ever-present source of joyous peace and unconditional love within;

Offering conscious guidance and encouragement toward ensuring the basic biological needs of every citizen are met without prejudice, expectation, ultimatum, or requirement that they first be earned, including access to nutritious food, clean water, reliable shelter, necessary clothing, and healthcare;

Providing inclusive leadership support and nondivisive guidance to local, state, and national governments and public servants, as well as organizations dedicated to peaceful coexistence and the evolution of governmental consciousness;

Expanding life-sustaining awareness by providing valuable, reliable, and fact-based resources that help transform humanity’s Earth-destructive practices while celebrating and multiplying those that are life-affirming and productive;

Empowering us to honestly and fearlessly question the reliability and usefulness of self-defeating personal, familial, and cultural habits, beliefs, and traditions that may no longer serve the overall well-being of ourselves, one another, and our Home Planet Earth; and,

Encouraging the conscious transformation of our educational systems by exploring and integrating relevant aspects of educational approaches such as Montessori, Waldorf, and J. Krishnamurti schools.
