Dear Friends and Booksellers Across the Globe,
First, thank you for keeping the magic of reading a paper book alive and for creating places where books, ideas, and people can still find one another. What a gift!
We’d like to offer you a different kind of wholesale invitation, one rooted in something we hope we share: a belief in the power of books to help humanity mature, grow, and discover new possibilities for unity, joy, and peace in a world too often divided by conflict, division, and blame.
The Peace President Collection of books, such as “Beyond Division and Blame: A Revolutionary Plea for Uniting a Nation” and “The Great American Billionaire Challenge: Three Commitments. One Nation. Zero Divides.” are part of the growing work of Peace President United, an independent movement exploring conscious leadership, conscious citizenship, and practical and visionary possibilities for addressing the challenges facing our nation and world.
These books are available to bookstores through Ingram iPage, and we’ve intentionally chosen a nonreturnable wholesale model.
Why?
Because rather than building our approach around large orders and eventual returns, we’d rather begin small and build something together. Peace President United is a volunteer, donation-supported movement, and keeping our publishing model simple and sustainable helps us direct our resources toward the books, outreach, and larger mission.
Place them where readers can discover them. Talk about the book if its message resonates with you. And we’ll do our part by actively introducing readers to the books, generating awareness through our outreach and media efforts, and encouraging people to support the independent bookstores carrying them.
We’re asking independent booksellers to consider just 3 to 5 nonreturnable copies.
We believe books can still travel the old-fashioned way: one reader, one conversation, one bookstore, one community at a time.
We know shelf space matters. That’s why we’re not asking for much of it.
Just a few books, a little visibility, and an opportunity for readers to decide for themselves.
