What Does Peace President United Do?
Peace President United is not asking humanity to join another identity or ideology. Our work is an invitation to recognize what already connects us and explore what becomes possible when we live, lead, and govern from that understanding.
Peace President United is an educational, publishing, awareness, and participatory movement built around one central inquiry:
What would conscious, peaceful leadership and citizenship actually look like—in ourselves, in our communities, and in those entrusted with public leadership?
Rather than treating peace as merely a political ideal or the absence of war, PPU explores peace as something practical — something that can influence how we think, communicate, heal, govern, educate, relate to one another, participate in society, and help restore trust where division has taken hold.
Ongoing Practical Objectives
Publish and distribute books that articulate the Peace President vision, challenge familiar assumptions, and invite deeper inquiry into leadership, citizenship, human consciousness, and peaceful coexistence.
Curate educational resources through the Global Awareness Project, bringing together carefully selected information, videos, teachings, organizations, and practical resources related to peace, human development, healing, sustainability, conscious education, disarmament, spirituality, and conscious citizenship.
Develop and share practical models and initiatives that move from awareness into application — demonstrating how conscious leadership, healing, trust-building, communication, and peaceful coexistence can be practiced within communities, institutions, and everyday civic life.
Support inner healing and awakening, including our collaborative relationship with Collective Healing Anonymous, because Peace President United does not view world peace as merely a governmental or political problem. How we genuinely embark on a journey of self-discovery and embrace our most sacred inner qualities profoundly influences how we relate to one another.
Create focused awareness initiatives, such as the Global Disarmament Initiative, that help bring important human and global issues into greater public awareness and provide practical ways for people and civic leaders to learn, communicate, and participate.
Create public participation projects that allow ordinary people throughout the United States and around the world to contribute ideas, perspectives, resources, and possibilities rather than simply consume information.
Encourage public conversation through online gatherings, speaking events, educational outreach, book tours, and community dialogue — creating spaces where people with different backgrounds and perspectives can explore important issues together without requiring political or ideological agreement.
Longterm Goals
Restore national and global trust by encouraging greater transparency, honest communication, mutual understanding, and conscious participation between citizens, communities, public leaders, and nations. Peace President United seeks to help illuminate and reduce the divisions, fears, assumptions, and mistrust that keep people separated — creating greater possibility for cooperation, peaceful coexistence, and a renewed sense of our shared humanity.
Participate in efforts toward establishing a U.S. Department of Peace or Peacebuilding.
A dedicated federal department could bring sustained institutional attention to peacebuilding, violence prevention, conflict resolution, reconciliation, and nonviolent approaches to domestic and international challenges. Proposals to establish such a department have been introduced in Congress, including a Department of Peacebuilding proposal in 2025.
Expand and develop Peace President Academy as a continuing-education model for elected officials, public servants, civic leaders, and others entrusted with public responsibility. The Peace President Academy explores areas such as conscious leadership, self-awareness, communication, conflict resolution, emotional maturity, ethical decision-making, human development, and peaceful governance — helping broaden leadership education beyond policy expertise alone.
Participate in creating a Citizen–Government Communication Platform.
The vision is a transparent and accessible tool through which citizens and public leaders can communicate more directly, share ideas and concerns, explore possible solutions, and better understand one another. The intended benefit is not simply more communication, but clearer communication, greater public participation, increased transparency, and the possibility of rebuilding mutual trust between citizens and government.
Expand awareness of the Great American Billionaire Challenge (GAB-C) as a transformative invitation for citizens, and especially the wealthiest among us, to discover within themselves the ever-present source of abundance beyond material wealth. Through three challenges of the GAB-C, the initiative reorients attention toward the most unifying and sacred inner qualities of our being — qualities that know no division, no blame, and no lack.
Who Do You Think Would Make a Great Peace President?
For decades, the idea of a “peace president” has appeared in American political life, sometimes as a description, sometimes as an aspiration, and sometimes as a question: Is this president truly a president of peace? Yet even the word peace can reveal something about the conflicts within our collective understanding. Some believe that a president who sends military forces into war can no longer meaningfully be called a peace president. Others believe military strength, and at times the use of force itself, may be necessary to establish or preserve peace. American presidents and administrations have expressed versions of this latter view through the familiar idea of “peace through strength.”
Perhaps this apparent contradiction reflects a much deeper question within humanity: What do we actually mean by peace? Is peace simply the absence of immediate conflict? Is it something maintained through the threat or use of force? Or does genuine peace arise from sacred inner qualities of consciousness that allow us to meet conflict without hatred, dehumanization, division, blame, and unnecessary aggression?
It is within this larger human question that Peace President arises. Peace President United does not use the name as a political title to be claimed by a particular officeholder, party, or ideology. It uses it as an invitation to explore the sacred qualities of genuinely peaceful leadership: compassion, humility, patience, wisdom, courage, conscious awareness, and a willingness to recognize our shared humanity even in the presence of profound disagreement.
Perhaps, in this particularly important period of our collective lives, the Peace President we have been waiting for is not merely someone else. Perhaps it is also something awakening within us all.
